Hello All,
Welcome to the insane world of my mind. I am your host, Gremlin. I have been called the Mad Gremlin, Dr Gremlin and Mad Dr Gremlin but Gremlin is the key part. Once upon a time there was a Mad Gremlin site on MSN communities. I wrote a column and answered comments on my forum, until the day came that that, all ended. A bit depressing.
I was silent for a few years and then reborn here. But again that was brief because I didn't have all the followers I once had. You see it is a new world and Social Media (such a strange term....isn't it really anti social behavior sitting in front of a screen and only communicating in this fashion? I digress......sorry I do things like that) makes it so that everyone communicates everything all the time. I mean do I really care what Tommy Smith is eating for dinner? Well do I? Do you? Maybe you do....perhaps you're stranger than I....rather not contemplate that personally. uh...yeah on a tangent again aren't I? Bwah hahahahah! Ok.
At any rate I felt a bit lost....I mean I had a forum, yeah a message board, Kids ask your parents what that is....or Google it. Or blow it off and say who cares am I right?
But I did talk to those people regularly. And then....all gone.
This did cause me distress and for many years, I was gone. But it is time for my presence to be felt again and I hope to regain my following and make this bigger than before. Recent events have re-ignited the writer's bug and desire within me. This time I am preparing myself to cross a line....I'm going to use anti-social media rather than avoid it. Sometimes we must reach a compromise that we don't want to.
I write a column, not a blog, that I won't compromise on (blog sounds like some sort of unfortunate fungal infection one gets in their nethermost regions) and it is called Overload just as it was originally years ago and then again...years ago. It seems I last wrote one quite a while ago. Now before anyone goes thinking from the looks of that one, I always write political commentary from a left point of view let me warn you. It is eclectic, just like my mind. You may see everything from political rants to works of fiction I am working on. Actual stories for your amusement that I decide to share with you. So tune in and be surprised but by the same token, don't be surprised if I say something you disagree with...or agree with. Or maybe find out your Cousin Sally twice removed kind of agreed with but wasn't entirely sure....or maybe your dog liked my view on catapults being invented to launch cats into orbit. You get it, expect the unexpected, and the expected, and the semi-expected?
Finally...welcome, look around and please join our forum if I rebuild it but most likely I'll make comment links. Explore my thoughts and do not be afraid.....well much at least. But by all means, enjoy yourself and join in. I accept ideas of others and welcome healthy discussion. Never forget, I'm the Mad Gremlin for a reason. :)
