Well, I wasn't expecting visitors yet. I have a lot of cleanup and reconfiguration to do. If anyone has been here, stick around. I will get this to look decent again. Some things have changed, and I may be a bit rusty. Ok, I am a bit rusty. I also plan to make more out of this. It will be alright. It is ok, the column is the important part.

Returning

All the times I tried to return and didn't. This time I really am. I am a bit nervous but, it is time and I am feel I am needed. Besides, the writers bug has recently taken its hold on me again. I have been rebuilding the site and looking at things and it is embarrassing that I did attempt a return but then just fell silent. I guess with all the noise in social (amusing term...really it is) media I figured I wouldn't matter. But I used to have a following before that became big. I didn't do it for the following though. I have a numerous other reasons. So this is the thoughts page. And Overload will soon come back to life as it once was and shall be again. This time though, the pod will also become real. The show has a name but that is yet to be revealed.

I realize this may look like a blog and the temptation may be great but I still would prefer not to have that moniker if you please. This is a thoughts page, and I have a column page. Fair enough?

I Think it is time

I have been silent a long time. With all the voices out there and all the ways people are heard I felt that there was no longer a need for me in this world. I stayed quiet because with the growth of social media no one reads an old fashioned columnist like me, the Gremlin. But the time has come. In the past I was one to poke fun, and though I admit I generally pointed a finger at the right side I didn't spare the left when I found them wanting.

Many times my friends, if you are indeed still my friends out there. I didn't write a political column. As I said many years ago on my first site, This is eclectic, as is my mind. There is no humor in this first blog of ages because reading the news today I find no humor. Being the astute person I am I recognize patterns and trends and I see the darkness. I see many who have been fooled and don't realize the folly they have participated in. and alas, I fear for us all, friend and opponent alike. I try not to think of anyone as an enemy. I've grown beyond that as many old friends know. So with this, I announce that Mad Gremlin! is officially being dusted off and I am out of retirement. Brothers and sisters be warned.

And I do promise to try and bring back the fun, not just the fight. ---------------------G

There was a highly opnionated guy who called himself the Gremlin. Though not important, I'll tell you why he's called the Gremlin. He had rather enjoyed Gremlins from 1984 and was somewhat of a practical joker when much younger than he is now. So he left a calling card from the Gremlin when he playaed a joke. As I said, not that this is important. Gremlin has changed persona somewhat over the years though as the opening page of this site states it always comes back to Gremlin being the primary name. He started writing in High School, all the time. And many told him he became quite good at it. Maybe so, maybe not. Hss he ever been published? Of course..not that you would know since he was wrting for others and his employment. Sad but true. He has strong opinions that he is passionate about. One day ...as you already know...he started writing a column online. No not a blog...a term he finds distastful which makes this all the more fascinating don't you think? He dissapeared and then returned but found the following he had was gone. Not only that but there are many others on the internet now using the same name for their purposes. Heartbreaking is it not? :) But, I am that Gremlin and though I feel I lack audience now it is time to stop sulking and be come once again what I am and state to you all...the one, the only and the original is back.

Now, I’ve done some work to try and improve this site and once again give a home page to all my old friends. I realize that face book and the like exist. I know that. But I’m not overly fond of those sort of formats. I’ll link all this to my Facebook page and work on it.---G

Wow, I must admit I have gotten really wrapped up in other things and did exactly what I said I wouldn’t on here. I neglected Mad Gremlin. I notice that it is already getting politicized here on the site and wonder if I should get on to other topics again but for now it is what it is. The offer is still open for guest writers. Remember, you have to let me know and show me your stuff. I’m still the final editor but I would never post someone else’s edited work without theme seeing it first. Well, the new Overload is up. Way off schedule but at least it’s there.

Howdy all. This is to inform you that regretfully, I will not be posting a new column until next week. I know you were all looking forward to it…all three of you. But I will be back to normal next week. Between everything going on and my own exhaustion I just don’t think I’d do it justice.
